Where It All Started
Our founder, Mike Skemp, who recognized a need for staffing and employment services in the Greater Milwaukee area. With a philanthropic heart and a vision for success, he surrounded himself with knowledgeable and hard-working people to make his dream a reality. In 1987, Parallel Employment Group was born (known then as Personnel Alternatives).
From our humble beginnings in the back of a Milwaukee barbershop – a space we were able to maintain for 24 rewarding years – Parallel has become a full-service direct hire and temporary employment agency based in Southeastern Wisconsin and serving areas of Western New York. Today, we have worked with over 2,000 clients and expanded with branch offices across the region.
