President and Owner
Mike Skemp opened Personnel Alternatives (later to become P.A. Staffing, currently Parallel Employment Group) in 1987 as owner and president. He is a strong company leader with a focus on growth and maintaining Parallel Employment Group’s reputation as one of South Eastern Wisconsin’s top staffing and employment companies. Skemp created Parallel after recognizing the need for staffing and employment in the Greater Milwaukee area. Philanthropy is highly important to Skemp, and he has served on boards at Harbor House of Racine, Michael G. Skemp Memorial Fund (University of Wisconsin – La Crosse), Western Racquet Club, and Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services (WASS). Skemp continues to support local commerce and initiatives, and legislative lobbying for the employment industry. Skemp holds a B.S. in Public Administration and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. Skemp has spent over 28 years in the staffing and employment industry and currently resides in Wisconsin.
Kirk La Du
Executive Vice President of Operations
Kirk La Du joined Parallel Employment group in 1993 as an Account Executive, and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations in 2005. In this role, La Du is charged with driving operational excellence in all of Parallel’s service states by coordinating and managing the needs of the organization, and generating increased business by identifying staffing and employment needs. La Du has implemented a rigorous framework to drive operational excellence and worked with staff and clients to improve all aspects of performance. La Du continues to lead operations and implement technologies that aid the company to better serve clients and candidates. La Du holds a B.S. in Speech Communication, with an emphasis on Public Relations, and a minor in Business Administration from University of Wisconsin – Platteville. La Du was a member of the Staffing Service Association of Illinois and served on the Legislative Committee for two years, and he is a current member of the Wisconsin Employers for Equitable Workers Compensation.
Executive Vice President of Sales
Tammy Rosenberg joined Parallel Employment Group as Vice President of Sales in 2000, and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Sales in 2009. Since her start, Rosenberg has led substantial growth in business throughout the United States by solidifying new business, continuing to cultivate established accounts, and management of nation-wide accounts. Recognizing a high demand for substitute teacher recruitment and dispatching services, she successfully diversified Parallel Employment Group with the addition of an Education Division. Rosenberg continues to increase business growth through innovative and strategically sensible manners, while maintaining profitable margins for clients and the organization. Rosenberg holds a B.A. in Sociology with dual minors in Business Administration and Spanish from Carthage College. Since beginning her career in the staffing and employment industry, she has obtained the Disney University Certification for Leadership and Management, Sales Professionals training from Dale Carnegie, OSHA Twelve-Hour Training Certification, Employment Law Certification, and Co-Employment training. Rosenberg is the Board President for Safe Haven of Racine, WI., was an advisory board member for The Business Co-Op Program of the Racine Unified School District, served on the W-2 Steering Committee, and is an United Way ECC Training Committee member.
Vice President of Human Resources
Patricia Stemper joined Parallel Employment Group in 1997 as Director of Marketing and Recruitment, and was promoted to Vice President of HR in 2000. In this role, Stemper leads the company in the development, implementation, coordination, and administration of all major human resource programs and functions. She has had a significant impact in both the human resources area of the organization and the strategy and contemporary talent development areas. Stemper is passionate in her pursuit of bridging the skills gap the current workforce presents. In the past, she taught career preparation classes at the Milwaukee Area Technical College, and was an active volunteer at local Greater Milwaukee career development centers. Stemper holds a B.S. in Communications with a minor in Business from Alverno College, is a Certified Human Resources Professional, a Certified Staffing Professional, and holds an Employment Law Certification through the American Staffing Association. She is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management, and served as a board member for the Wisconsin Association of Staffing Services.
